Frequently Asked Questions:
1) What does Bara mean?
Bara is a Hebrew word translated as "creating, shaping, forming
or transforming". We believe that it represents our daily efforts to
create products by forming and shaping a variety of materials
to create new and useful products. The Hebrew language makes a
distinction between the idea of simply "making" something and the
idea of "creating something (Bara)" "To make" is used to describe
very ordinary things while
"Bara" is use to describe the creation of a work of art, a masterpiece, or
something new and wonderful.
Thinking of our jobs as creating products, rather than as just making things, is
more rewarding and much more exciting.
2) Is there a story behind the logo?
The Bara logo is an original work of art called "The Flats" by American
artist Kevin L Haynes. It hangs in our lobby and was chosen as Bara's logo for
several reasons. The first reason was the precision of the lines, angles, and
squares.
Precision is very important in every operation of our company. The
second characteristic is the symmetry and unity of the design in which
each piece fits uniquely together to make up the whole. In a similar way,
each person at Bara has unique talents but they must all come together in
harmony for the outcome to be successful. And finally, the bold and bright color
scheme expresses our passion to take a fresh and creative approach to each new
design we create and each new product that we produce. This painting does a
wonderful job of expressing the multitude of different dynamics that make up
our company.
